An Open Letter to Jamie Johnson

Why should you, Jamie Johnson, purchase a ‘J’? Is it only the double ‘J’ of your name which jars me? That jolts me over to another double ‘J’, that of your inheritance. But I do not want you to purchase our jazzy ‘J’ under your pharmaceutical namesake of Johnson & Johnson. I want you to get it for yourself. Because of course, the other J & J already has so much to do with it.

It is my obvious interest in wealthy people lately, that brought me around to your films. Honestly, I don’t care much for rich people. I prefer my simple life and my farm-childhood over anything so flashy, so showy, so perverse by sheer magnitude. There is truth in each experience, they shape us. I’ve read a quote somewhere, that you, Jamie Johnson, have said you are comfortable with your riches. . . As I am comfortable with my non-riches. These are both good things and not one is better than the other.

The question must surly rise, in the well-educated mind of yours: Why is Generous Alphabet charging so much for one single letter, one link, one letter? The answer is, like anything important in life, contradictory. We have no minds to be rich, we would like to continue what we are doing (this and this), we would like to do more. That money allows for certain freedoms is where contradiction comes in.

Life! and greater life! Life! and more life! Certainly, that is all.

Buy a ‘J’, Jamie Johnson. You can even buy it today!
