An Open Letter to Madonna

Madonna, you are the ‘M.’ Ma donna, in Italian, my Lady, Madonna, fab fashion trend of the late 80’s, Madonna, the woman who breaks the rules or gets rid of the rules all together, Madonna, you are pushing 50, but who would know if the media didn’t tell.

Madonna, I’m impressed. How can one not be? Just the sheer bulk of music videos alone should be enough to render an even unaffected-type into awe. The audacity of some of your outfits running parallel to some of your dance moves. . . well, it makes me want to do something uncalled for, something I shouldn’t do. And the more I think about it, that is the ‘M’ behind your name and not the Generous Alphabet ‘M,’ but Madonna, Madonna!

So, even though we are a pretty laid-back cause when compared to some of the others you’ve over done, I just believe that this ‘M,’ like all ‘M’s, are already yours. And sure, you’ve got a lot going on right on, with your new album and the up-coming tour, but then again, what better time than now?

What do you say Madonna? Would you like to buy the ‘M’?
