An Open Letter to Oprah Winfrey
To Ms. Winfrey: I believe that you Oprah Winfrey, are already the ‘O,’ surely not our ‘O’ for no one has been bold enough for that yet, but ‘O.’ There’s the magazine taken from your name of course, all the charitiable organizations and icons that have come out of you, the book club, etc., yes, Oprah Winfrey, being the most powerful woman out there, the ‘O’ is already yours.
Well then, I guess the big question is: Why would you want to help us when the ‘O’ is already your icon? If one ‘O’ why not all ‘O’s!? Why not every ‘O’ on our round planet? Maybe because, Oprah Winfrey, we are nice people and I know that sitting at the top of television talk-show, book-club, feel-better stardom makes you want to reach down and help us nice people. It’s not that you would only be helping us, but you helping us to be generous in return. Because, that’s the whole idea of the whole Generous Alphabet Project, something you Oprah Winfrey can sympathise with to be sure. With our generousity from your generosity you have a chance to affiliate yourself with some of the good internet causes, the internet being education, being freedom, being a whole other realm of communication that us humans haven’t even opened ourselves up to yet. As I see it, the internet gives us a greater potentiality to be a better person, and that’s what this is all about, isn’t it Oprah Winfrey? Your O is waiting!
That which we haven’t even dreamed of yet is possible.
