An Open Letter to Stephen Fry
Dear Stephen Fry : Your position as an intellectual comedian and technological gadget collector cum guru, aligns you with our singular star. The reading I’m getting, not necessarily streaming, from wherever in the world you might be, is loud and it is clear. It says that you would be wise to invest in our brazen enterprise. I don’t know why. I’m just telling you what I hear.
Though, through my own wire-fine intellect I can deduce that it is a passion for the internet, this gateway, this “city,” as you call it, that we share; also a strong predilection for creation, travel, knowledge. The world is vast, the cosmos are vast and there’s no way one life can take it in, all. The more multifarious, the larger our scope, the more common pathways and passageways and corridors and wide-open fields to share, the better. Communication has struck decibels that have previously gone unheard; we want to raise the pitch higher. For, even though there are loads of ways to be heard we still have not rendered our ears for listening. Our intuitive instincts tend to go shamefully out the door. What I mean is: it’s a blog’s bog out there among the expanse of the media hungry and the socially dependent. I envision a cosmic light, through which our bare selves may shine, no longer impaired.
Such is my idealistic internet scratch. Is there an answer? Are our stars aligning because maybe, by some chance, it has to do with you? Regardless, Stephen Fry, have you ever considered owning such a lovely ‘S’?
